Terms.
Using this site means you accept these terms. They are short.

Who runs this site
This site is run by Toronto Impaired Driving. It is not a law firm. You can reach us by email at hello@torontoimpaireddriving.ca.
General information, not legal advice
The site explains, in plain words, what the lines on an impaired driving paper in Ontario mean. That is general information. It is not legal advice for your case, and it can't take the place of a lawyer who has seen your papers.
The law and court practice change. We try to keep every page correct, but a page may be out of date or may not fit your situation.
No lawyer and client relationship
Reading the site or sending the form does not mean a lawyer is acting for you. There is no lawyer and client relationship until a lawyer agrees to act for you. Until then, please don't send what happened through the site. Save it for the call.
No promises about outcomes
Being charged is not being convicted. Any figure on this site, such as a minimum fine or a suspension, is what the law sets, never a prediction of what will happen in your case. Nothing on the site promises a result.
Links to official sources
Pages link to official sources, such as the Criminal Code, the Ontario Court of Justice and Ontario's Ministry of Transportation. Check those sources for the current law and for your court's details. We don't control other sites and aren't responsible for what they say.
Your details
What the form collects, and who receives it, is on the privacy page.
The law that applies
These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
Changes
If these terms change, this page and the "Last updated" date will change too.
